Leaving Trekoverland

Woke a little tired and anxious this morning, Irena kindly let me stay at her house last nite and for the first time got to see a pet fox, well almost a pet, it was in a kennel and it did smell a bit. We got in to Trek at about 9 am and got started on the last minute packing of the truck. Tim and Matthew were still fitting the hot water system and we are having a little bother with it air locking, I took myself off into Kirkbymoorside to get more medical supplies and then into Pickering to collect some padlocks for the oil can and rear kit box.

When I got back we took a load of photos of the finished truck and I’m really happy with all the work that has been done, everyone at Trek has been so kind to me and they have become friends, the standard of their work is really high and attention to personal detail is huge, they really want you to make the most of your trip, it’s actually great fun working with Trek with their quirky ways.

I got away about 4 pm I think and it was abit emotional leaving, I don’t think Tim wanted the truck to go and Claire me to go. But I made my way down to Skipton to get some supplies from Asda like a Duvet and pillow for a total price of £4.95 I hope I havn’t contributed to world poverty by buying it. Got to Banks Southport at about 9.30 pm and had a beer in west Coast 4×4’s yard before going to Bed. Thank you to all the team at Trekoverland for making this all possible.
